Niche UK IP, Media, Entertainment & Technology Lawyers
A niche UK law firm with a national and international outlook at the intersection of intellectual property, media, entertainment and technology. We act for corporates, creators, tech founders and multinational & independent studios, and much of our work is UK, EU and US-linked.
We understand the law, and we also understand how your sector makes money: streaming and content licensing, AI regulation, fintech and digital assets, Web3 infrastructure, and software sold across borders.
London · UK · EU · US“PAIL have helped on crucial business deals and agreements… commercially switched-on and trustworthy… always in the client’s best interests.”
Built to Move at the Speed of Media and Technology
A founder-led boutique, deliberately built away from the legacy law firm model, so clients get senior judgement, direct access and decisions made quickly.
Why the Firm Exists
Peter Adediran began practising Internet law in 1999, after working at Hogan Lovells and Osborne Clarke. He saw that founders, creators and studios needed lawyers who could keep pace with new platforms, not just apply old precedents to them.
He founded PAIL Solicitors in London in March 2009 as a boutique firm for complex, non-routine technology, media and intellectual property work. It was incorporated as PAIL Solicitors Limited in December 2021.
Today the firm stays deliberately agile: a lean team, the founder on every matter, and international counsel brought in where a deal or dispute crosses borders.
