The Site is operated by PAIL® SOLICITORS LIMITED, trading as (“PAIL Solicitors”) (we, us and our). We are a firm of solicitors, licensed and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under number 827205, trading as a limited company registered in England. PAIL® Solicitors is a digital media and intellectual property specialist solicitors firm focusing on entrepreneurs and SMEs using digital media to deliver their products or services.

This is the privacy policy for Users, for  www.pailsolicitors.co.uk and any other websites through which PAIL Solicitors makes its online platform and applications for mobile, tablet and other smart devices and application program interfaces available (collectively, the "Applications") through the Application and online website (collectively, the "Site").

This privacy policy applies to the Applications and the Service through the Applications. This privacy policy controls any privacy policy imposed by either iOS or the Android platform and any other application distribution platform for use of the Applications and/or the Service through an App. Anywhere in this privacy policy where the word Site is used shall include the word App and vice versa. A User's use of any App will terminate at the same time as the use of the Services to which the App relates.

Our use of the personal data of Users(s) using the Site and/or offering Services through the Site is subject to this privacy policy.

This privacy policy (with our terms and conditions and other policies) explains what information we gather about you, what and how we use that information, the lawful basis on which that information is used and to who we give that information. It also sets out your rights, our obligations concerning your information, and who you can contact for more information or queries.

We use your personal information for commercial and non-commercial purposes, as follows:

Master ID Data

Application Form/Questionnaire: Upon completing the Application Form/Questionnaire to carry out a quotation: PAIL® Solicitors processes the Master ID Data to provide a quotation and agree on an engagement contract.

Usage Data

The information will be used internally only for the website or mobile app traffic analysis.

Transactional Data

The information enables us to process your payment for certain fixed-price services that you pay for through the STRIPE payment facility or if you pay us directly by bank transfer.

 Who do we share your personal information with?

We will not share your personal data with anyone. Please note that we do not have third-party recipients outside the European Economic Area.

We will share personal information with law enforcement or other authorities if applicable law requires it. We will not share your personal information with any other third party.

Reasons we can collect and use your personal information

We rely on consent as the lawful basis for processing on which we collect and use your Master ID Data, Usage Data, and Transactional Data (together Personal Data).

How long your personal information will be kept

PAIL® Solicitors, we will retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary for the purposes stated in this Policy or as long as required by law or to defend potential legal claims. Notwithstanding, we will not keep Personal Data for longer than six years after you have ceased to be our client.  If you wish to obtain additional information concerning the duration of the data retention, please contact us at support@pailsolicitors.co.uk.   

Your rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have several important rights free of charge. In summary, those include rights to:
